Germaine Greer

Born in 1939, Greer is controversially known for her radical feminism in the late 20th century – and, in more recent times, for her transphobia despite her past feminist actions. Her first published book, The Female Eunuch (1970) was an international bestseller and remains a key influential text in deconstructionist second-wave feminism. At SUDS, she performed in multiple productions in the 1960s, including playing the titular character in Brecht’s Mother Courage and Her Children in 1963.
